Yellow Jackets Pull Away From Union in JV Football Action

UNION — The Greer High School JV Football Team overcame a tight game before pulling away from Union County to win, 22-6, Thursday night at Union County High School.

The Yellow Jackets earned a safety in the first few minutes of the game as Union County snapped the ball over their punter’s head and through the endzone. Union County led 6-2 in the second quarter before Freshman quarterback Trey Houston scored on a touchdown run to give the Yellow Jackets a 9-6 lead at Halftime.

In the second half, Houston scored a pair of touchdowns to finish the score at 22-6. With the win, the Yellow Jackets move to 2-0 on the season. They will be back action action Thursday night at Emerald High School. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
