IB Takes a Trip to Furman
November 11, 2019
On October 25th, the senior IB diploma seeking students took a trip to Furman University. The IB students are working to research and write an extended essay of 4000 words. They went to the university to research information on a larger database. At Furman, the librarian talked about the best way to research and gave them some pointers when it comes to researching. Students were then allowed time by themselves to research their self-chosen topics. After, they got to get lunch in the school cafeteria and went on a tour of the campus.
When asked how the trip was, senior IB student Vajay Brown explained, “I feel like going to Furman was an excellent experience and I think I got some significant information for my paper. I learned some researching skills that will help me in the future.”
IB students will continue working on this assignment until March when it is due.
