Vajay Brown, head captain of Greer’s cheer leading squad, won with the majority of votes for cheerleader of the week.

When asked how do you feel about winning the poll, Vajay explained “I feel honored that people wanted me to win.”

Vajay has been a cheerleader since she was a freshman in high school. She has been so determined to do her best and took every opportunity she could to improve. She is now the head captain, a position she worked for since her junior year. She is a little emotional about this year being her last year, but she is very excited for what her future holds. She is even thinking about possibly continuing cheer as she goes into college.

Besides cheer, Vajay is also an IB student and is in the National Honors Society, Beta club, and Leo club. She is a hard worker and is very involved with school activities.

When asked what is your go to motto whenever you’re needing some encouragement, Vajay said “I just tell myself to always keep pushing.”
