Greer Students Read Banned Books
September 23, 2019
This week is Banned Book Week. It is a week to let teachers and students have opportunities to read books that have been banned from their school library. There is a display in our library of banned books for this week. Some students fight for them to stay on shelves.
Librarian, Mrs. Kiser, says that, “The main reason some of our books get banned is because they are challenged. A book may be right for you, but not someone else.”
Some of Mrs. Kiser’s favorites are The Hunger Games, the Harry Potter series, To Kill A Mockingbird, and many more. Go check out some of the banned books this week before they disappear again!
