The Struggles of School

The Struggles of School

Emily Robertson, Staff Writer

Everyone knows how tough school can be. The stresses of keeping grades up, perfect attendance, make up work, keeping up with clubs, etc. But sometimes the small parts of the day seem even more stressful than the big parts.

These include:

  • Making sure there is no food in your teeth.
  • Pulling out that wedgie that you have had since 1st block.
  • Watching your feet walking up and down the stairs so you don’t fall on your face.
  • Making sure you don’t get too close to the person in front or beside you so you don’t accidentally touch their hand or something.
  • Double checking yourself in the mirror to make sure your clothes aren’t inside out or miss matching.
  • Looking at your clothes to see if you’ve been walking around with breakfast on your clothes all day.
  • Trying not to cough so loud because you’ve already coughed about 10 times or sniffling in your seat because you’re too embarrassed to blow your nose.
  • Checking where the teacher is during class so they don’t catch you eating or being on your phone.
  • Scrambling through your book bag because you can’t find your homework that you spent hours on.
  • Waiting till the end of class to throw something away because you don’t want people to look at you.
