I know it’s only the beginning of September but fall is just around the corner. I can’t wait for the cooler weather, bonfires, corn mazes, apple and pumpkin picking, and so much more. In saying that, here are eight awesome places you can visit to kick start your autumn right!

1) Falls Park on the Reedy

Falls Park in Downtown Greenville is a classic, and beautiful place to hang out for fall. Between all the shops to visit on Main Street, the waterfalls and trails you will never get bored. This is also a good place to see the changing colors of the leaves, have a family outing or just hangout with friends.

2) State Fair – Columbia

The SC state fair will be coming to Columbia for 12 days from October 10th through the 21st. There is so much you can do like rides, concerts, watching competitions, and of course trying the food. One of their new attractions will be dinosaurs, along with FOLKFabulous, giant sand and balloon sculptures, and much more. the fair will be located at 1200 Rosewood Dr, Columbia, SC 29201.

3) Bald Rock Heritage Preserve

Bald Rock is another one of those classic places to visit. From the top you have a panoramic view of  the South Carolina Foothills along with Table Rock standing tall in the distance. This is a beautiful place to hang with friends, hike, explore, take pictures or just chill and look at the amazing scenery. Bald Rock is located in Cleveland, SC, near Caesars Head National Park.

4) Sky Top Orchard

Sky Top is an u-pick apple orchard. Here you can do things like pick apples, feed the animals, hayrides, walk  the nature trail, buy things at the market and much more. This is a very family friendly and fun place to visit. Sky Top is open everyday from 9am – 6pm, and is located at 1193 Pinnacle Mountain Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

5) Justus Orchard

Justus is another u-pick, we pick apple orchard. You can roam the orchard and pick apples or buy pre-picked apples. They have a cow train you can ride and a jumping pillow, or you can relax down by the pond and watch the ducks. Justus Orchard is open daily from 8:30am – 6pm and is located at 187 Garren Rd.

6) Fishers Orchards

Fishers Orchard is a u- pick peach orchard. Their fall festival begins October 1st and ends the 31th. During this time there are so many things you can do such as mazes, wagon rides, pumpkin picking etc. FIshers Orchards have a few different locations near Greer, they are all now open from 8am – 7pm for the 2018 season.

7) Denver Downs

Denver Downs Fall Festival will have its grand opening on September 28th and will go to November 4th. During the festival there will be many different events such as: hoedowns, pie eating contests, pumpkin carving overalls pageant and so much more. They have corn mazes, pumpkin patches, petting zoo, and a ton of games. Towards October they will have their Harvest of Horror including 4 different themed haunts, barnyard activities and the 10 acre haunted corn maze! 8) Stewart Farms

Stewart Farms is a very family friendly farm with many activities. Opening day will be September 22nd and will run to October 28th. They have all kind of things to do like: daytime and nighttime wagon rides, pumpkin and cotton patches, two mazes, walk through the farm store and a bunch more.
