GREER–On Wednesday, December 13, students from Greer High School were nominated for Greer Grit. Students are selected by their teachers and are rewarded with food, small gifts, and a certificate.

Two students, Devin Frank, a freshman and Carolyn White, a sophomore, were asked how they felt about being nominated.

“Good, I told my mom and my brother,” said Devin. Carolyn said, “it feels good.”

We asked them why they thought they were nominated. Devin felt it was because he had “no referrals” this year. Carolyn said, “I come to school everyday.” Having a good school record and attendance are strong Greer Grit qualities.

These two students show what it takes to have Greer Grit.
