Dig Pink: The Greer Volleyball Fundraiser

Emily Robertson, Staff Writer

On Thursday September 14 at Greer High School, Coach Farrington and the Greer High School volleyball team had their 4th annual “Pink Out.”

The volleyball team made treats for the concession stand and decorated the gym with pink. Some of the treats they sold at concessions were pink cupcakes, lemonade, candies, etc.

They sent around pink baskets for anyone wanting to make donations from both Greer and Eastside. The players announced who they were playing for in honor of and also placed donations in the basket.

The team raised close to $400 one night and will be added to the next concessions.

The money is being donated for research to find a cure for cancer. Last year and this year they will be donating it to the Greer Relay for Life.
