GREER — The Greer High School JV Boy’s Basketball Team proved that some bad weather would not stop the Yellow Jackets.

Despite the inclement weather in the area prior to the game, the Yellow Jackets won Wednesday night, 61-41, over Southside High School.

In the first game of the season, sophomore Braylon Hailstock led the Yellow Jackets to a strong victory, scoring 19 points in the game.

Greer High School coach Jonathan Stoehr was very proud of the way the team performed. “Our guys used incredible effort on the defensive end to help fuel our offense,” said Stoehr. “They played great team basketball to lead to a big victory over a strong Southside team.”

The Yellow Jackets (1-0) will face off against Dorman High School in their next game Tuesday night at Greer High School. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
