TAYLORS — Greer High School picked up its second Girl’s Tennis win of the season Monday as the Yellow Jackets edged Eastside High School, 4-3, at Eastside High School.

Greer (2-9, 2-5 Region 2-AAAA) was led by Junior Olivia Turner and Sophomore Hanna Henline. Turner picked up a win at the No. 1 Singles, while Henline won at the No. 2 Singles. The duo paired-up to win the No. 1 Doubles Match.

Sophomore Ashley Barnett and eighth-grader Maria Cook won the No. 2 Doubles to clinch the match for the Yellow Jackets.

Greer High School Girl’s Tennis Coach Linda Sandusky was pleased with her team’s performance. “They played really well in this match and are improving each match,” Sandusky said.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Wednesday as they travel for a non-conference match with Broome High School. The match is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
