Greer High School Cross Country Starts Season on Strong Note

SPARTANBURG — Greer High School freshman Coen Roberts has been dominant during the Boy’s Cross County season so far.

Roberts recently finished in 10th Place in the International Division at the Annual Eye Opener Cross Country Invitational at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg.

Sophomore Jay Roberts finished in 44th place, while sophomore Jacob Scudder finished in 74th place. Senior Houston Osborne took 81st place.

Seventh-grader Taylor Houston was the top runner for the Girl’s Team as she finished in 59th place. Sophomore Laura Yarborough finished in 125th place, while junior Mandy Farmer finished in 135th place.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Saturday as they run at the Lake Murray Invitational that is being hosted by Chapin High School.
