Yellow Jackets Fall to Lions, 13-8, in JV Football Action

CENTRAL — After a 0-0 Halftime score, the Greer High School JV Football Team went toe-to-toe with Daniel High School, and fell, 13-8, at Daniel High School.
Trailing 13-0, Greer (1-2) scored early in the fourth quarter as Freshman Jakyre Kerns caught a screen pass from Junior quarterback Ahmad Mattison and scored. Freshman Cameron Martin later scored the two-point conversion to make the score 13-8.
The Yellow Jackets had numerous opportunities to take the lead; however, two touchdowns were called back due to offensive penalties.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Thursday night as they host Woodruff High School at Dooley Field. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
