POWDERSVILLE — After a week layoff, the Greer High School Girl’s Tennis Team hit the Wednesday night, and the young Yellow Jackets once again proved their toughness as they played well in a 4-3 loss at Powdersville High School.

Sophomore Hannah Henline, and Emily Swearingin picked up wins for the Yellow Jackets (0-3) at the No. 1 and No. 4 Singles, respectively. Junior Olivia Turner and Henline combined to win at the No. 1 Doubles.

Greer High School Tennis Coach Linda Sandusky was once again pleased with her team’s effort. “Once again, this young team played hard but just couldn’t come up with the win,” Sandusky said. “Someone needs to step up and get that 4th point for us. We will get there soon.”

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action tonight as they travel to Clinton High School. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
